The ancient song of praise found in Psalm 34:8, invites the hearer to personally experience the goodness of God for himself or herself.  The church in Sanford, Florida will set out to do just that in the coming year; we want each of our members, and all who visit with us, to taste and see in 2023.

As we learn about God’s goodness and see it at work in our lives, we want to grow up into salvation as we mature as disciples of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:2-3).

We aim to set godly goals and ambitions for ourselves, our families, and our congregation as we put God’s honor and praise as the centerpiece of all we pursue. Like Moses, our continual desire will be to witness the glory of the LORD (Exodus 33:18).

Our hope will grow and our faith will endure through any trials that may come as we share the encouragement, healing, and comfort that only the gospel of Jesus can afford.  We will build this resolve for the present and the future by considering God’s faithfulness proven in the past (Psalm 66:5).

Finally, we want to make His goodness known to every soul we encounter. Because we have tasted and seen that the LORD is good, we want to be salt and light to the lost and dying world around us (Matthew 5:13-16).
